Reviews
A bit disappointed at this place. It definitely seems like a mom and pop shop but the food and side dishes were lacking. It seemed very rushed too. We were the only ones dining.
Weekday lunch - had bulgogi soondubu and pork rib soup. Both were bland. Side dishes seemed inconsistent with photos. Fish cake was chewy (most likely been in the fridge for a while). Wasn’t given an option for multigrain rice.
I think there could be a lot of improvements made but not a bad spot if you’re in the area and really want a simple home cooked vibe Korean meal. Lots of parking available.
The owner was super nice and helpful, she explained the spiciness and other food so service was beyond expectation. There’s variety of food and most of them look amazing, bibimbap wasn’t available because they bring herbs from Korea so I’m definitely going back again. Some pictures for confused people to show how food looks and how cozy the place is🤍. also their Menu is the cutest and unique.
Such a wonderful Korean restaurant that had a cozy, family-run feel. The food was simply delicious, offering a taste of authentic Korean cuisine that felt like a homecooked meal. The warm and welcoming atmosphere added to the charm of the place, making it a delightful dining experience. The service was amazing, they were so thoughtful and accommodating the entire time. If you're in the mood for tasty Korean dishes served with a personal touch, this restaurant is a must-visit. We will definitely be back!
This is such a hidden gem that's alluded me since I moved to this neighborhood, and I've lived here for maybe five years now. That means I've wasted five years not eating their food and dining at their restaurant. It's like everything was curated according to both the chef's tastes and the manager(?)'s tastes. If you look at the plates used, they're so gorgeous and yet everything feels homey. The dishes were a thousand chef's kisses, I think my favorite thing on the menu is the dry-aged meats. And the fries are my favorite fries in all the land.
I'm so glad that we decided to try this place! Despite the plethora of options available for korean food in flushing and bayside, this one really stands out! We both had the mushroom tofu stew and it is one of the best we've had! Not too heavy, filled with veggies and a variety of mushrooms (including a really tasty oyster mushroom).. they really dont skimp on ingredients! The pancakes came with large shrimp, which you never see at other places. The place had a great homey feel and everything seems like just eating at a chef friend's home. Highly recommended!!
We ordered handmade noodles the broth is thicker than I thought but overall good. Seafood pancake is crispy and fresh
It’s a neighborhood small operation Korean restaurant serving very well seasoned and tasty traditional Korean dishes. It is not your normal Korean BBQ type of place. If you would like to taste typical Korean dishes that Koreans like this is a good choice. Parking is limited to street parking.
Seeing good reviews, I wanted to try this place. Unfortunately nothing stood out for me except pancakes. It is one of those run of the mill mediocre Korean places in the Flushing area.
First off, the menu is confusing at best. I needed to flip back and forth to figure out how I order them. It was especially true when I had to deal with some eyesores since they put incorrect Korean words. This gives out a vibe that the owners are not smart. The lady who seems be the owner got vexed and told me I must know what I want to eat upon stepping into this place. Well, I didn’t know this place exists and the menu is full of nonsense. They don’t seem to possess the fundamentals of Korean cuisine.
For example, the food I had doesn’t come with a soup which is, in general, basic in Korean dish. It is obvious that they don’t want to run extra miles to prep soups to make it complete. I could also see them cutting corners here and there. Due to this, this place fails to deliver full meal experience.
This is more obvious with the fact that they serve ginger tea instead of water. I know serving various types of tea is typical in Asian restaurants. Given that, this is the first restaurant I have ever had this. I couldn’t figure out what it was until the lady volunteered telling me it is ginger tea and bragged about it. She doesn’t know it reduces appetite and feeling of hunger.
I don’t feel that this place deserves all these raving reviews.
